Donna Louise Johnston

Donna Louise (Tillery) Johnston of Yukon and longtime resident of Bethany, OK. was born to John and Lizzie (Chennault) Tillery on November 27, 1939 at Antioch, OK. and passed from this life to her heavenly home on April 28, 2010 in Yukon, OK. At the age of 70 years. Donna grew up in the Elmore City area and attended scholl at Satterwhite and graduated from Elmore City High School in 1958. She then attended Draughons Business College in OKC. She worked as a legal Secretary for an attorney Mr. Keen, and later worked at the State Capitol. She is survived by her daughter: Denesa Bennett and her husband Greg and grandson; Bradly Yost, step-son; Reginald D. Johnston II, step-grandchildren; Jared Bowles, Kristen Bowles, Kameron Jones, sisters; Venita Murphy of Cypres, CA., Opal Harris and husband Sonny of Elmore City, OK. brother; Vernon Tillery and wife Jeanetta of Elmore City, OK. sister-in-law; Patsy Tillery of Elmore City, OK. 13 nieces and nephews several great nieces and great nephews, lots of friends and classmates around the Elmore City area. She is preceded in death by her husband; Dale Johnston in August 1996, parents; Lizzie and John Tillery, sister; Irene Simco, 2 brothers Ralph Tillery and Roy Tillery and stepdaughter; Cindy Johnston.

She was a sweet and loving person who always seemed to have a good spirit. She loved her family and pets dearly and always put them first. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday May 1, 2010 at Bill Merritt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be on Friday from 8AM-9PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Home. Lunch will be provided at Putnam City Christian Church Fellowship Hall on 42nd and Grove at 11:30 am for family and friends.
