Euelda Noel Sharp

Euelda Noel Sharp, 82, of Bethany, passed February 21, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She was born October 7, 1932 to Inice and Noel DeHart. She married JD Sharp in 1950, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage until his passing in March of 2004. Euelda worked for the State Insurance Fund, where she retired from in 1991. Her passions included her family and nature – especially bird watching. Euelda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Dwight DeHart; her daughter Anne Sharp; and her infant son John D. Sharp. She is survived by daughter Terri L. Strong of Midwest City; son Michael D. Sharp and wife Lisa of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Louise DeHart; and 2 sisters, Sherri and husband Bill of Bethany, and Jackie and husband Jim of Nebraska. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: PJ Harrington, Kellie Nowosiwsky, James Strong, Brittany Bates, and Jackson Sharp, as well as 7 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the caregivers who have worked so hard and showed so much compassion the past 2 years – in particular, Fountain Brook, Dr. Stephen Ditto, Sterling House, and Epworth at Home Hospice. Visitation is Monday, February 23, at Bill Merritt Funeral Service from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, at Putnam City United Methodist Church, 5819 NW 41st Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
