

George Tout Murry 90 passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Quail Creek Nursing Center in Oklahoma City. George was born on December 8, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George T Murry and Clura (Mitchell) Murry. George graduated from Tulsa Central High School class of 1942 then received his Bachelors of Art Degree from Kansas City Art Institute and School of Design in Kansas City, Missouri in June 1950. George served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. At the time George was married to Dorothy Louise Venning and they had two sons, George and Todd. George received an honorable discharge from the Navy in January 1946. He was in the advertising business for years and earned many awards. George and Dorothy divorced in approximately 1977 at that time George moved to Oklahoma City, Ok and worked with Schommer & Co for many years, and became a Food Broker, he then owned Murry Food Brokerage. George was a talented artist and had a great personality… he loved people of all ages, animals and nature. He belonged and served in the Oklahoma Art Guild and the Oklahoma Water Color Association. George met and Married Lorraine (Lorrie) Girard in Oklahoma City and they had been married approximately 30 years before his passing. George was the step father of Kent Brent Girard (deceased). He loved to cook and he provided adults, children and animals with joy, love and happiness during his life. He will be missed by all. The Murry family would like to thank he staff at Quail Creek Nursing Center and Physicians Choice Hospice, friends and family for the special care of George.
