Born on July 23, 1946, in Granite, Oklahoma, Glen was the son of Sidney Bray and Jewel Maurine Holt. He was raised in Bethany, Oklahoma, where he built the foundation of a life defined by hard work, service, and devotion to family.
Glen graduated from Putnam City High School in 1963 and went on to earn an associate’s degree, reflecting his commitment to self-improvement and responsibility. On May 28, 1966, he married the love of his life, Linda Darlene Calvert, beginning a marriage that spanned decades and stood as a testament to loyalty and partnership.
On February 9, 1967, Glen proudly entered the United States Marine Corps, completing basic training at Camp Pendleton, California. After returning to Oklahoma, Glen moved back to Bethany in 1971, where he began a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service, faithfully serving from 1971 until 2001. Never one to sit still, Glen later owned and operated Eager Beaver Stump Grinding & Tree Service, continuing to work hard well into his later years—just as he wanted to be remembered.
In 2004, Glen built a new home and moved to Piedmont, Oklahoma, where he became an active member of the community. He was proud to belong to the Piedmont Area Veterans Association and the Oklahoma Square Dance Federation. Known for his strong work ethic, quiet dedication, and love for the color blue, Glen lived his life with purpose and integrity.
