James Raymond Clifford was born in Shawnee, OK to James Edgar Clifford, Jr. and Shirley Parks Clifford. He graduated Midwest City High School in 1965 and attended Okmulgee Technical School before serving his country and honorable discharged Vietnam veteran. Most of his career was spent at Fred Jones Ford and Dub Richardson in the parts departments. He was lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he served as an altar boy. As an athlete he was a stellar first baseman for the Midwest City American Legion youth baseball team, even competing in the National finals in 1961. Ray was a loving, vibrant man with a multitude of friends. He is survived by son Matthew Clifford and grandchildren Nicholas and Stephanie; sister Terry Louise Jackson; niece Rachel Thetford (Bill) and nephew Bradford Jackson (Charminique) and a grandnephew and niece. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 12-8 pm at Bill Merritt Funeral Service. His service will be on Thursday, August 8th at 2 pm in the chapel.
