

Lupy Ann Goodlin, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2026. She was born on February 27, 1933, in Binger, Oklahoma, to Ben and Juanita Ortiz. She was the fifth of thirteen children.
Lupy married Melvin Ervin and moved to the city where they made their home in the Bethany area and raised their three sons. She was among the first employees hired when General Motors opened in 1979 and worked there until retiring at the age of 71.
Lupy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved puppy, Bowser. Over the years, she enjoyed raising chickens, goats, and cattle. She also loved fishing, vegetable gardening, and growing beautiful flowers. Her green thumb was admired by all who knew her.
Lupy had the gift of gab and loved sharing stories from her life with everyone she met. Above all else, she was most proud of her grandchildren. She loved cheering them on and never missed an opportunity to brag about them.
She is survived by her son, Elvin Ervin and wife Barbara; daughters-in-law, Nancy Ervin and Marca Ervin; grandchildren, Kelly Stoops and husband David, Brian Ervin and wife Dusty, Lisa Martin and husband William, JR Ervin, Krystal Ervin, and Blake Ervin; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Carson Stoops, Logyn and Luke Ervin, and Brooke and Logan Martin; sisters, Susie Gunter, Mildred Hodgden, Letha White, and Lucy Lynn; close friends, Jerry Goodlin and Reyna Barrientos; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Juanita Ortiz; sons, Melvin Ervin and Darrell Ervin; sisters, JoElla Hartman, Frances Hughes, Helen Mangham, and Virginia Ortiz; brothers, John Ortiz, Valenta Ortiz, Andrew Ortiz, and Ben Ortiz; and great-granddaughter, Kassidy Stoops.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at OU Medical Center and Integris Hospice House for the care, compassion, and comfort they provided to Lupy and her family.
Viewing will be 4pm - 8pm Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
Services will be 2pm Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Bill Merritt Funeral service with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
