

Melinda Ann Snyder passed away September 9, 2024 at her home in Oklahoma City surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 10, 1947 in Oklahoma City to Clifford Austell and Iva Ola “Johnnie” Johnson Boyd. Melinda was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma City. She was an avid reader and had many bookshelves filled with books of every genre, which made her well versed in many subjects. She loved to use that knowledge during Trivial Pursuit games where she was the partner everyone wanted to have. She loved playing cards like canasta, poker and rummy and had a knack for dominos. She worked at Western Electric as a keypunch operator for a short time, then at TG & Y and became a Travel Agent for a time after she had raised her family. She spent many vacations in Colorado with her family at a cabin that her husband built. Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Todd Snyder and a grandson, Avery Snyder. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom of the home, 2 daughters, Lori Evans and husband, John of OKC and Amanda Butler and husband, Dale of Bethany, sister, Michelle McDaniel and husband, Mark of Tulsa and seven grandchildren, Mikela Bridenthal and husband, Ethan, Taylor Evans, Hannah Evans, Kelsey Evans, Abbey Stowe, Evan Butler and Jack Butler and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Melinda will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 Northwest 39th Expressway, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73131.
