Our beloved father, Robert (Bob) Kerkhoff, of Oklahoma City, passed away October 14, 2021. Bob and his twin sister were born on August 14th, 1931 on a farm near Canute, Oklahoma to William H and Lucille (Schones) Kerkhoff. Bob graduated from Clinton High School, having been very active in several sports during his time there. Shortly after graduation Bob entered the Army, hoping to train in electronics. Bob served with the 182nd Airborne Division in Panama, Central America as a Radio Specialist. Following his discharge from the service, Bob returned to Clinton where he met and married Fannie Dean Shivley Beck in 1954. They remained married until Fannie's passing in 2013. Bob began working in Oklahoma City for Southwestern Bell Telephone, where he also began going to Oklahoma City University at night. He graduated in 1961 with a degree in Engineering. After working for 33 years for SW Bell/AT&T, Bob retired. Following retirement, Bob and Fannie joined Southwestern Bell Pioneers. They loved traveling in their 5th wheel, boating, camping, and Bob’s greatest love, fishing. Bob’s first love in his life was always his family. He was widely regarded by most who knew him as a great man and a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Bob is survived by his daughter Ramona Bargman (Phil) and his son Michael; grandchildren Erin Kirker (Daniel) and David Crum; great-grandchildren Nathan and Natalie Kirker; his sister Freida Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Fannie; his son, Robert Jr.; his parents, and his sisters, Rosa Malone, Hilda Winnard, and Roberta Reano.
