

Sue was taken in the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Saturday after a short illness. She was born on April 24, 1928. She is survived by her daughters Karen Shannon and husband Dal of Oklahoma City, Deborah Proudfoot of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Theresa Smith and husband Brian of Oklahoma City, Rebecca Pribil and husband Dr. Alan of Pratt, KS, sons James Bigham and wife Elizabeth of Houston, TX, and David Bigham and wife Pamela of Oklahoma City. She had twelve grandchildren, Amy Moncrief, Robert McNaughton, Heather Palmer, Joseph Proudfoot, Tyler Smith, Lauren Smith, Carey Lingenfelter, Sherryayn Lingenfelter, Aaron Pribil, Brendan Pribil, Evan Pribil and James Bigham. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Hegman Bigham, parents John and Mary Love, 2 brothers James and Billy, 3 sisters Poly, Wilma, Johnny and son-in-law Joseph Proudfoot.
Sue and Jim grew up in Hattiesburg, MS and were united in marriage on May 29, 1949. Jim was a career Air Force Senior Master Sergeant which led them living all around the United States before settling at Tinker AFB. Sue was a homemaker and a strong believer in Jesus Christ. She served the Catholic Church in many capacities. She loved to host the Priests and Nuns at her home for Sunday dinner. Her favorite hobby was bowling and she participated in many different leagues. She also enjoyed cooking with her specialties being chicken and dumplings, cream corn and lemon meringue and chocolate cream pies. After her children were raised, Sue became a Master Florist. She had many talents and would offer to help anyone in need. Sue had a special devotion to St. Jeanne Jugan, The Foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Sue went on a Pilgrimage to Rome for her Canonization in 2009. She then followed the trail in France ending at the Mother House of the Little Sisters. After moving to Florida, she especially enjoyed playing Bridge and Bunco wither her "Snow Bird" friends.
Funeral services for Sue Bigham will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 1, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Viewing will be at Bill Merritt Funeral Home on Friday from 5pm-7pm with a Rosary following.
