

Born on November 24, 1955, in the Bronx, New York, MaryAnn was the beloved daughter of the late Liberato and Beatrice Capabianco. She was the devoted wife of Mitchell Friedberg, with whom she shared nearly 48 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. MaryAnn was a loving and dedicated mother to Matthew Friedberg (Alicia) and Michelle Parise (Michael). She was the proud and adored “Grammy” of Dylan, Makayla, and Avery, who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. MaryAnn was predeceased by her dear sister, Phyllis Hayes.
MaryAnn had a vibrant spirit and a heart that welcomed everyone. She loved Hallmark movies and had a special passion for collecting snowmen ornaments, which brought warmth and happiness to her home. She enjoyed getting her nails done, entertaining family and friends, and was always the first one on the dance floor. A wonderful cook, MaryAnn was especially known for her delicious banana bread and pasta dishes that her family loved dearly.
Above all else, MaryAnn treasured time with her grandchildren. She never hesitated to get down on the floor to play with them, creating memories they will hold close forever. Her love, kindness, and joyful personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 234 Broadway, Bethpage, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, 220 Central Avenue, Bethpage, New York. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, New York.
