Charles A. Barton

Charles A. Barton, 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Mary Barton and his brothers Ronald, Wallace and Ernest. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Carol Barton and his sons and daughter-in-law Steven & Jennifer Barton and Scott & Lindsey Barton; grandchildren Victoria, Keith, Kaleb, Grant and Eli and several nieces and nephews.

Because Charles trusted in Jesus Christ for his eternal salvation, he chose to invest much of his life in many capacities as a longtime, active member of Calvary Baptist Church. In his younger years he very much enjoyed working at a few local Dairy Farms, he then started working for Nabisco Foods where he retired. One activity that he enjoyed before and after retirement was gardening. You could find him preparing early in the spring by starting plants from seeds and canning and freezing produce in the fall.

The family will receive friends at the Calvary Baptist Church, 466 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 1-2pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Those wishing, kindly consider memorial contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church.
