Walter L. Tarbox

Binghamton: Walter L. Tarbox, 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin H. and Loretta Tarbox. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elaine Tarbox, and daughter & son-in-law Lenora & James Hartline Conklin, NY; daughter & son-in-law Julie & Daron Green, Rockford. Mich and son and daughter-in-law Eugene and Susan Tarbox of Mt. Home AFB, Idaho; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter, a sister Frances Carroll, Endicott, NY. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church and served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher for many years as his service to the Lord. He retired from the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin after 30 years of service. Walter was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wm. R. Chase and Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with Rev. Robert Mattox officiating. Burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
