Alvin Ray Williamson

Alvin Ray Williamson, age 84, of Dora, Alabama passed away peacefully, with family present on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Alvin was married to the love of his life Gail Williamson for 62 years. He loved working in the garden and being outside, being a outdoorsman. He paid special attention to his chickens he raised. He loved Alabama Football, Nascar racing, and Atlanta Braves Baseball.

Alvin was a Veteran, serving in the National Guard for six years serving his country. He loved spending time with his family and spending time with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil Victor Williamson and Leander Chain Williamson, brother Durie Williamson.

He is survived by his wife Gail Marie Williamson, his sisters Mildred Richards, Elsie Shelton, brothers: Wade Williamson, and Herbert Williamson. He is also survived by his children, Jan Freil, Doug Williamson, Sharon Shaver (Chuck), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

His Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Forest Crest Cemetery.
