She was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1936 to the late Dr. William E. Prescott, Jr and Bonnie Marie Presley Prescott. Bonnie attended Barrett Elementary and Woodlawn High School before graduating The University of Alabama with a B.S in Education, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She spent the early part of her career teaching in Maryland, Illinois and Alabama. As her career progressed, she worked for a public relations firm, publishing the Alabama Teachers Magazine. Following her career in teaching, Bonnie owned and operated a travel agency in Pelham, Alabama for years – she dearly loved to travel and did so the world over. Upon retiring, she lived in Pell City, Alabama and ultimately moved to Ft. Morgan, Alabama. There she became actively involved in the Civic Association, Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and The Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Commission.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Marvin J. Lowry, her brother William E. Prescott III, her nephew William E. Prescott IV, and her niece Candace Leane Prescott and is survived by her niece Renee Prescott Hicks.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be sent to either the Ft. Morgan Volunteer Fire Department or the Ft. Morgan Civic Association.
