Charles “Charlie” Lee Cooper, Sr, age 65, of Pell City passed away Sept 21, 2019. Charlie was a long time resident of Birmingham and Pell City, Alabama. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School. He started with the Bruno’s Family moving onto Food World and worked within the Birmingham grocery business for almost 40 years. He was a member of Eden West Side Baptist Church. Charlie was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target practice with friends and family. He enjoyed many cups of coffee with his wife, Georgia and loved long conversations with his son, Lee.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Georgia M. Cooper, his parents, Albert N. Cooper and Virginia Cooper, three brothers, Neal, David, and Thomas and one sister, Marianne.
He is survived by his son, Lee and his wife Marian, his sisters, Judy and Ellen and brothers, Griff and Russell, his sisters-in-law, Patricia and Susie and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life to honor Charlie will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Eden West Side Baptist Church, 223 Wolf Creek Road N, Pell City, Alabama 35125.
