Charlotte S. Corenblum

her home on March 2, 2024 at the age of 95.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Max Corenblum; parents,

Rebecca and Alex Silverman; and brother, Marvin Silverman. She is survived by her

sister, Shirley Rich, daughters Sherri Romanoff (David), Ellen Sokol (Jerry), Susan

Greene (Steve), sons, Michael Corenblum (Sharon), Steven Corenblum (Caryn),

grandchildren Chad Robinson, Cary Romanoff (Lovisa), Andrew Romanoff, (Jessica),

Stacy Cohen, Kevin Sokol (Amanda), Daniel Greene (Katie), Robin Wall (Michael),

Scott Greene (Casey), Julie Royal (Asher), Wendy Levison ( Jeremy), Elliot Corenblum

(Allyson), Carl Corenblum, Zachary Corenblum and 20 great grandchildren. She loved

and adored her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them.

Charlotte was born in Columbia, Tennessee and then moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She

attended Girl’s High and worked as a bookkeeper and sales associate at Rich’s

Department Store. She married Max Corenblum and they raised a beautiful, loving

family. She was a devoted member of Temple Beth-El for more than sixty-five years

where she served as President of their Sisterhood and she was active in the

Birmingham Jewish Federation until her death. Charlotte was an enthusiastic

shopper, loved to travel, an avid reader and enjoyed playing mahjong and canasta

with friends.

The family would like to express its deepest appreciation to Charlotte’s caregivers

Marie, Carman, Tammy, Shelia and Bernadette who treated her with love,

compassion and dignity. Thank you also to Matthew from Home Instead Senior Care,

Angela, from Blue Bird Home Care and Affinity Hospice.

Private graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery Monday, March 4th at

11:00 a.m. This will be followed at 12:30 by a Memorial Service and Shiva at Temple

Beth-El 2179 Highland Avenue. Birmingham, Alabama. 35205.

In lieu of flowers donations can me made to Birmingham Jewish Federation, Collat

Jewish Family Services, Levite Jewish Community Center, N.E. Miles Jewish Day

School, Temple Beth-El or a charity of your choice
