

Elizabeth was born in Athens, AL, and later moved to Talladega, AL after her father returned from service in World War II. She went to primary school in Talladega where her mother taught history at Dixon Jr. High.
After graduation, Elizabeth went to the University of Alabama where she enjoyed being a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She graduated in 1965 with a BS in Education, with majors in both social studies and biology, and went on to UAB and Samford for further graduate studies.
From 1965 until 1970 she taught history and biology at West End High School in Birmingham, AL and then moved on to Homewood High School in Homewood, AL until 1975.
In March 1975 she married Duncan F. Dunn of Moultrie, GA and lived in Mountain Brook, AL. They had one daughter, Sarah.
During the 1980s, Elizabeth enjoyed a robust volunteer schedule with PTA, church, and Girl Scout troop leader activities. She is still fondly remembered by the children of Brookwood Forest Elementary school for hosting yearly Easter Egg hunts at her home.
Elizabeth later became a legal secretary, paralegal, and executive assistant in a large law firm in Birmingham before retiring in 2009.
In her retirement she traveled throughout Europe with her daughter, Sarah, who shares her love of history. On last calculation, Elizabeth traveled to over 26 countries in her lifetime.
She was a proud member of the Caxton Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Colonial Dames. She was an also an avid reader, genealogist, talented artist, and loving mother.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Sarah Dunn, and her brother, Winston Legge, Jr.
