

Jack “Norman” McMillian, Jr. passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born on September 14, 1974 to Jack Norman McMillian, Sr. and Deborah Shouse McMillian. A short 4 years later, his sister Lynsey (Conkin), arrived on the same day.
Norman, a true son of Birmingham, attended Comer School, St. Rose Academy, and Ramsey High School. He graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 and worked at Southern Company for 27 years.
In 2013, Norman married the love of his life, Cindi in Key West, Florida. In the ten years Norman and Cindi were together, they traveled to England, France, Italy, the Bahamas, NYC, California, countless Alabama Softball Games, and many other places. Norman loved his role of “fun uncle” and cherished his nieces and nephews, Cori, John, Kasey, Logan, Carrigan, Carter, Jackson, Jake, Cal Rubi, Penelope, and Milo.
Norman was preceded in death by his grandparents William Banks Shouse, Charles Norman McMillian, and Adeline Carrell McMillian. Norman also leaves behind his beloved Meme, Eleanor Shouse, aunts Lisa Harbison and Nancy Strain, uncle Don Harbison, mother-in-law Shirley Hackney, father-in-law Ray Belcher, cousins Austin, Derek, Kaitlyn, Haden, Hunter, Keith, and Shane, sisters-in-law Annie Fain and Christina Belcher, and brothers-in-law Matthew Conkin, Jason Belcher, and Michael Fain.
Donations in Norman’s name can be made to the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
A visitation for Jack will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors, 2116 University Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35233, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
