

Marilyn Miller Snow, 95, of Birmingham entered the Church Triumphant July 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Annette Miller, son Joe Cantley, husband Marshall Snow, husband Charles “Buddy” Moses, and grandson Sean Stagner.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority at Birmingham Southern College where she graduated in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She married Don A. Cantley Jr in 1948 and gave birth to 3 sons: Donald A. Cantley III, Joe Cantley, and David Cantley. She taught in the Jefferson County and Bessemer City school systems for 13 years.
She met and married Marshall Snow at First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham and had a loving marriage for over 50 years. She found love at church again and married Charles “Buddy” Moses; at age 86. She was an active member of First Presbyterian for over 70 years where she served the Lord in many capacities such as children’s Sunday School teacher, President of First Presbyterian Women, handbell choir, and liturgist. The ministry dearest to her heart was First Light, a homeless women and children’s shelter, in which she was a founding volunteer.
She is survived by her sons: Don Cantley (Dori), David Cantley (Suzanne); daughter in law Dana Cantley; sister: Anne Turnbull; grandchildren: Stacy Stagner, Ray Cantley (Amanda), Melissa Achuff (Mark), Ryan Cantley (Alison), Nikolai Cantley and Yulia Cantley; and great grandchildren Lacey Stagner; Andrew, Nathan, Isaac Achuff, Judah Achuff and Alaina Cantley; and Elijah, Vivian, Jozef, and Scarlett Cantley.
Visitation will take place Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 1pm, First Presbyterian Church 2100 4th Ave N Birmingham, Al 35203 with service at 2 PM. Memorials may be made to First Light Ministry c/o First Presbyterian Church Birmingham.
