

Nancy is survived by her children, David T. Gadbois (Cynthia), Gregory P. Gadbois (Mary) her grandchildren, Natalie, William, and Drew Gadbois, and her brother Robert Taylor (Valerie). She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Nealon.
Nancy was born on April 28, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to June and Joseph Taylor. She graduated from Bradley University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Science, majoring in Home Economics. She married Joseph Nealon, a certified public accountant in 1987. Her career path was diverse and included working for 17 years in 250-bed long-term care facility in Chicago, Illinois where she was a food services director, business manager, and ultimately, director of the human resources department. In 1997, she retired and moved to Asheville North Carolina, but continued to work part-time at the Biltmore Estate as an Information and Reservation Host. In 2009 she moved to Birmingham Alabama to be closer to family.
Nancy was an accomplished cook who enjoyed feeding family and friends. Her cooking accolades include having tested and edited all the recipes for a cookbook published by Simon and Schuster. She was active in a number of organizations and had numerous friends, including the “Nutmegs” a group of six women with whom she had been friends since elementary school. She enjoyed sewing, decorating and other crafts and most recently was learning to quilt
A memorial mass is planned for early April 2016 in Birmingham, Alabama, with details to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nancy’s life.
