

Ryan Thomas Lisenba , a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at the age of 23. He spent his early childhood in Trussville but graduated from Hoover High School in 2016. He was currently attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing a nursing degree.
Ryan was an avid golfer and a member of the Hoover High School Varsity golf team. He played on the BGA (Birmingham Golf Association) Junior Tour and was a member of the SJGT (Southern Junior Golf Tour). He enjoyed fishing, frisbee golf, tennis, and Fantasy Football.
He was a 2016 recipient of a UAB Academic Achievement Scholarship and was recently inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He also volunteered at the Brother Bryan Mission. He attended Iron City Church college community group weekly.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Lisenba, and his uncle, Alan Lisenba. He is survived by his parents, Barry and Tonya Lisenba, sister Haley Lisenba, along with her fiance’, Jeremy Bagnall; grandparents, Willard and Myrtle Blevins, Jeanne Post, and Kay Lisenba; uncles and aunts, Chris and Kerri Lisenba, Michael and Carrie Lisenba, and Cameron and Barbara Blevins; cousins, Holley, Erin Grace, and Jake Lisenba, Allyson and Caroline Lisenba, and William and Anna Blevins; multiple great-uncles and great-aunts, and numerous friends, especially Lindsey Storch and Mitchell Mills.
Ryan’s memorial will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, with visitation from 1-3 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3 pm, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35124. The Reverend Darrin Post will be officiating the service to follow.
