William C. Frieling passed away at home on April 5, aged 97. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he graduated from St. Xavier HS and the Univ. of Cincinnati. He served in the Army during WWII and retired from Vulcan Materials Co. as Manager of Transportation and Chemicals. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church since 1961.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Walsh Frieling. He is survived by his sister Rita Knepfle of Cold Spring, KY; sons William G. Frieling of Birmingham and Thomas (Barbara) Frieling of Tallahassee; daughters Maryanne Frieling Simeone of Huntsville, and Kathleen Frieling (John) Wood of Beavercreek, OH; grandchildren Garth (Elizabeth) Frieling of Asheville, NC; Anthony Simeone of Huntsville, Joseph (Laura) Simeone of Madison, AL, Mary Simeone and fiancé Ben Janca of Tuscaloosa; and great-grandchildren Lydia, Joshua, and Anna Simeone of Madison, AL.
