

Mr. Currie was an electrical and boiler engineer for Merck in Hawthorne and Sherman Plough Chemical Co. for many years before retiring in 2007. He served in the US Army and Navy during WWII. He was a member of the VFW and Belleville Senior Citizens Club. He also enjoyed playing the piano for St. Peter’s Church.
Arrangements are by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net) A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, 380 Clifton Ave, Clifton, NJ 07011 (973) 546-5020.
He is survived by his loving and devoted children and their spouses, Lynda Codiroli, Karyn and Raymond Glover, Leo and Judy Currie and James and Anne Currie III; dear sister, Anna Crane; 15 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wives, Bernadine (nee Brady) and Rosemarie (nee Massett) , his children, Kevin and Janet Currie; and sister, Mae Forgione.
