

Angelina Montaño was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Angelina will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Santana and Natalia Soberano. Angelina grew up in Camalota, Nayarit.
Angelina was raised with twelve siblings. She had five younger brothers; Margaro, Policarpio, Rogelio, Inocente, Santana and seven youner sisters; Teresa, Evangenia, Irma, Rosa, Elizabeth, Bertha, Ana. Angelina was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Angelina had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Angelina was an active child who took part in basketball. In her spare time she liked dancing and going to festivals. Angelina's memorable achievements included being good in math and loved school. However, to Angelina, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Angelina had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Her favorite class in high school was Math. The teacher she enjoyed learning from the most was Jose Castañeda. She will be remembered as a popular and very social person who stood her ground. She performed in school talent shows and was a very smart student.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Angelina enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Mercedes Samora. Later in life, she became friends with Abel and Maria Pazos, Jorge and Irma Dagnino.
Empathic and loyal, Angelina was committed to making her new family happy.
Angelina worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Angelina was blessed with four children, one son, Luis and three daughters, Agueda, Elvia, Angelina. Another blessing for Angelina was the gift of eight grandchildren, Luis, Omar, Diego, Valerie, Emily, Vanessa, Emmanuel, Matthew.
Fortunately, Angelina enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Angelina worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was housewife. Angelina always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Angelina enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were dancing, going to church, spending time with familly and friends, going to the beach, and going to the mountains. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Angelina found pleasure in sports. In high school, Angelina played basketball and volleyball. Angelina was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. Tops on her list were basketball.
Angelina’s faith was important to her. She was a member Sacret Heart Catholic Church for six years and St. Charles Catholic Church for sixteen years and Bless John for eight years. During that time, she was biblical recorder and Eucharist minister and gave baptism classes for eighteen years and catechism classes. She also attended bible study classes and San Bernardino dioses classes. She was an active member of Ministerio Familiar.
Though she never set out to gain individual recognition, Angelina was given accolades for her many and varied accomplishments throughout her life. Some of her most prestigious awards included Agents Pastorales from San Bernardino Diosece Catechism Program.
Angelina enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Nayarti, Mexico.
Angelina was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was puppy, German Shepherd dog. They were best friends for seventeen years.
Angelina passed away on Miércoles, 5 de diciembre del at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, California. She fought a brave battle against diabetes. She is survived by husband Jose G. Montaño, Her children Agueda, Elvia, Luis, and Angelina and grandchildren, Luis, Omar, Diego, Valerie, Emily, Emmanuel, Matthew and Vanessa. Services were held at St. Charles Catholic Church. Angelina was laid to rest in Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, California.
Simply stated, Angelina was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Angelina leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Angelina Montaño.

She is survived by her loving family, husband; Jose G Montaño; son, Luis Montaño, 3 daughter's Agueda Moreno; Elvia Alcala; Angelina Moreno, and 7 grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Thursday December 13, 2012 at Green Acres Mortuary from 5-9 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10AM at St Charles Catholic Church in Bloomington, Ca, with burial to follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
