Dorothy Marie Smith, 86, passed away on April 8, 2026. Born on October 29, 1939, Dorothy lived with a steady devotion to those around her, offering kindness that was quiet but constant, and a generosity that asked for nothing in return. Her life reflected a gentle spirit, faithful in the ways that matter most—through steadfast care, honest words, and selfless attention to the needs of others. In all she did, Dorothy carried herself with humility and integrity, and her hard work was marked by grace rather than recognition.
Dorothy was a resident of Riverside, California. she was proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years (Jerry Smith). Survived by her two sons (James and Charles), four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She will be remembered for the calm strength she brought to everyday life, and for the sincere, kind-hearted presence that made others feel seen and supported.
A Committal Service will be held at Green Acres Memorial Park Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316, US, on April 24, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
