Eddie, you always showed so much love to all of my family & I. One word that Andy described you as a person "Genuine." You had an amazing soul mijo. I remember when we took the kids to go get yogurt at Cherry 🍒 on top not knowing that you worked there, and you had a great big smile with hugs as you greeted us with love and yogurt. I still can't believe it. I love you, cousin. We had so many good times together. You were beyond genuine. Your laugh and smile are unforgettable. I knew you always had my back. I remember we were at the store one time, had to be 2012. I was wearing a Broncos jersey and some random Raiders fan started talking trash. You looked at me and said, "Are we gonna have to get this guy?" I laughed and said it was cool. But, you were always ready to stand up for family and friends. Unheralded. Thank you for everything, Eddie. I love you.

Lovable Scamp. More than a neighbor. More than a friend. His pictures show that he lived a full and loving life. Comforted by the knowledge that he is enjoying Heaven because he accepted Jesus as his Savior and made it known.

My Bro.  I still can't believe you are gone.  The past few weeks seem like a dream...a nightmare that I wish to wake up from. Today I called your phone just to hear your voice on your voicemail.  What I wouldn't do right now to get one of your bear hugs to hear your laugh.   There are so many things I wish I could have said or done while you were still with us.  So many more memories that could have been made that should have been made.  Now all I am left with is the memories we shared together.  Memories of all the stupid $hit we used to do together (you know what I am talking about).  Mom thinking I was the angel even when you would tell her I wasn't. You clowning around, annoying the $hit outta me. Oh you loved to annoy me.  No matter what was going on between us, you always had my back.  From picking me up and taking me to get food when I was messed up and scared to call mom.  To the times you were willing to lay it all on the line if someone messed with your little bro.  You loved me not matter what.  Even when I was a dick to you. I want you to know you were the best big brother I could ever ask for. I know nothing can bring you back to us.  There will always be a piece of my heart missing.  I promise to look after our family and protect them like you protected me.  I love you Bro...so f'n much...until we see each other again.

Eddie, my childhood friend and cousin, I can’t believe you’re gone. We grew up together, causing mischief from ding-dong ditching to egging houses—always finding a way to have fun. I’ll never forget the time we put that june bug in Lil Arty’s sandwich, laughing until we cried. We’d get the giggles until our stomachs hurt, and our dance competitions were legendary, our moms just sitting there, laughing at us.

I still remember like it was yesterday how your mom, Tía Gema, would call out, “Eddie, ¡ven! Change the cassette!” so our moms could keep listening to Los Bukis. Those little moments, those memories—they’ll always stay with me.

Your laughter was contagious, your spirit was one in a million. You were more than just family you were real, always keeping it 100, always caring and loving. I love you, and I’ll miss you more than words can say. You’ll always have a place in my heart, and I’ll carry our memories with me forever.

Rest easy, cousin. You were one of the good ones.
