Ella Nora Mitchell was born on October 5, 1938 to John and Sallie Mitchell in Franklin County, Virginia. She departed this life on July 8, 2020 in Riverside, California. She Graduated from Lee M. Waid High School in Rocky Mount, Virginia in 1958 and moved to Pittsburgh soon after to work. After residing in Pittsburgh for six years, she returned home to Rocky Mount, Virginia in 1964. She left later that year to embark on a new adventure in California. Ella resided in Riverside, California from 1964 to 1968. While in Riverside, she attended a key punch operator trade school in San Bernardino and received her certificate. She later moved to Los Angeles and began working at Carnation as a key punch operator in 1968. After working at Carnation for twenty years, it closed. Ella left Los Angeles and returned to Riverside in 1988. She then became self employed as a domestic helper until her untimely illness in 2007.
Ella was preceded in death by Sallie Holland Mitchell (Mother), John Henry Mitchell (Father), John Henry Early Mitchell (Brother), Joan Mitchell (Sister), Benford William Mitchell (Brother). She is survived by Donna Mitchell (Daughter), Laura Humphrey (Sister), Marvin Mitchell (Brother), Dallas "Darrell" Mitchell (Brother), Alfred Grier (Grandson), Mikeyda Glaze (Granddaughter), DeQuan Guillebeau (Grandson), Alshawn Grier (Great-Grandson), Ariyanna Grier (Great Granddaughter), Atazshii Austin (Great Granddaughter), Naz'Xiory Glaze (Great Grandson), Tiani Grier (Great Granddaughter), Taelyn Grier (Great Granddaughter), Je'Mirio Ezpinoza-Matthews (Great Grandson), Josiah Grier (Great Grandson), Lulio S. Grier (Great Great Grandchild), Harlei M. Grier (Great-Great-Grandchild). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, additional family and friends.
