Those big breakfast you see on Tv the ones where there’s everything and so much of it, those are the type of breakfast’s my dad would make every Saturday, playing oldies. I’d wake up to the smell of delicious breakfast running downstairs. No one could ever recreate that. Every weekend after his work week he’d be outside grilling making carne asada, his special beans, his salsa, having everything prepped for us to make tacos. I don’t know how he did it, that’s what he loved to do spend time with all his kids. In the summertime he always made sure the pool was blue and clear so everyone could go swimming, and he’d was so proud out it. There’s nothing he couldn’t do, he’s the best dad I could’ve asked for. I remember the day he found out I was pregnant, I was 17 and was scared to disappoint him, when he seen the ultrasound he had the biggest smile from ear to ear and was so happy to have another baby in the family.  My daughter Ari was blessed enough to experience his love. That little girl was his world, whatever she wanted to do he was taking her to do it, even after his long days at work. He always made sure she was stocked up on ice cream, that way whenever she asked it would be there for her. He took care of everyone, if you needed any help he was the person you’d call, whether it was troubles with your car, needing help moving or picking something up, a plate of food, or advice he was the one to go too. He was a true family man, there was no one more important than his family.  He accomplished so much in his life, and he did what he wanted to most, provide for his family. That was his ultimate goal to make sure his kids were protected, had a roof over our head, had food on the table, and to know family’s the most important thing. There was nothing more I could’ve asked from him, I’m so grateful to be able to call him my dad. I love you dad, thank you for everything.

My tio was an amazing person who always made sure no one went without. As time has passed  I've come to realize there is a lot I could have missed out on as I only got to see my dad on weekends. Erick would join Tony for video games or basketball in the back yard or take him to the park or to watch a movie or go to an arcade after school etc. And I didn't miss a single bit of any of that because it was always clear that I was part of it. This news breaks my heart and I want to send all the love I can to everyone who loves my tio. Rest in Paradise

Our deepest condolences to the family, 
   We can't begin to imagine your pain... but we empathize the lost of this Great Man! We grew in a careless era where taking pictures and videos to record the good times wasn't thought about! But the memories with Erick will forever remain in our hearts! He was a the apitimy of what a great triumphant father, grandfather, husband and family man should be. Erick and Edith are the reason our marige had a turn around, from the moment my Tony met Erick he became a role model to him! For ever grateful to you both! It is an honor to had been friends with such a glowing and humble person like Erick, we will miss his sense of humor and his bomb BBQ skills! Rest easy Erick... We will see you soon. 🕊🤍

Uncle Erick was a true family man. He might not have been the most affectionate with words or hugs, but if you knew him, you knew he loved you by the way he welcomed you into his home, the way he spoke to you, and how he always made sure you were taken care of. I have so many memories of him like family nights at my cousins’ house, mornings when he’d drive us to school with the radio playing, and summer days when he’d clean the pool just so his kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews could come over and swim. In the morning with the famous breakfast foods he would make. And of course, the parties if Uncle Erick was on the grill, you already knew the food was going to be good. He had a way of showing up when you needed someone. Even if he looked a little intimidating at times, to us he was just a big teddy bear. He had a soft side that his family always brought out, and he was a safe place for all of us someone who could make you laugh when you were mad, feel better when you were sad, and feel calm when you were scared. Uncle Erick will be deeply missed. Our family won’t be the same without him, but the love he gave us and the memories he left behind will stay in our hearts forever.

May you look back on the precious memories and find peace in knowing that Erick raised such amazing kids and a supportive husband. I will always remember him for his BBQ's

Thank you for always being a stand-up guy in life, for being willing to help any and everyone and most of all, for being the best husband, father and grandfather to your family.

Thank you for helping me in my time of need without even knowing me. I will never forget your kindness. 

You didn't deserve this, but I know God's will is His and I'm praying he allows your soul to rest knowing that He will take care of your family in all ways.
