Juan Zacchaeus Parker

Juan Zacchaeus Parker was born in San Bernardino California, on September 7th, 1964, to Elizabeth Parker and General Lee Northington. He attended Fontana High School and went to Fashion Design School in Los Angeles. During his childhood he was a very rambunctious child wanting to know how things worked. As a child he played baseball and later attended Fontana High School where he primarily ran track. As a teenager, he had a passion to work on his cars and raced them at the Fontana track.

He later married Travia Riley. They were blessed with a total of four children. Once his girls came along, he also had them running track. He was very interested in his three girls, and son, and his brother's education, and helped where he could with special programs. He worked at various jobs and was even co-owner of his own lawn care service for a time. His primary occupation was a therapist at Casa Colina Rehabilitation Hospital for many years, then later worked for Hub Cap as a parts technician. Juan was always doing what was needed to provide for his family. He taught his kids to fish, which was his favorite pastime. He often went fishing with some of his cousins.

He and Travia later divorced but continued to share in positive co-parenting as they raised their children. He later lost most of his vision in both eyes, but that never stopped Juan’s determination and drive. Once his children were adults, he became a proud grandfather and always loved spending quality time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Joyce (Parker) Burden, his father General Lee Northington, his step-father AC Burden, his son DeJuan Parker, and nephew Osborn Burden.

He is survived by his Ex-wife & very good friend, Travia Riley, his three daughters Ronisha Hale, Dwanique Parker, and Destiny Parker, his grandchildren Da'Monyae, Da'Majae, Journey, Jounher (Honor), Jour’Riah, DJ, and Ar'Mani, his sister Annette Reitzig, his brother Harby Burden, step-brother Billy Ray Burden, and nephew, nieces, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and close friends.

He was a positive light in our family, and he will be truly missed.
