Kenneth Long

Funeral Services will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1:00pm located at Green Acres Memorial Chapel in Bloomington, Ca.

Kenneth Ray Long was born December 28, 1926 in Rialto, CA. to James Long and Emma Hughes. He married Madge I. Walters August 31, 1947 and they enjoyed over 61 wonderful years of marriage before Madge passed away January 22, 2009.

Ken was a master mechanic for Vanco for five years before retiring in 1983. Previously he worked at Fontana Paving for 23 years. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 12. Ken enjoyed building furniture, remodeling his home and tinkering in his garage. He was a member of the Rialto Historical Society and the Native Sons of California.

Kennith is survived by his three daughters: Shirley Crowder (Thane) of Rigby, ID, Sharon Herman (Mil) of Grand Terrace, CA. and Sandra Johnson of Redlands, Ca.; he is also survived by two sister-in-laws Carolyn Heller(Tom) and Alice Walters both of Rialto, Ca.; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Madge, his parents James and Emma (Hughes), brothers James, Paul, Glen and sisters Jessie and Mary Lou.
