Lea Annette Guzman, daughter of Robert Luna and Margarita Serrato, was born September 16, 1957 in Los Angeles and ascended to glory in heaven on the 21st night of September 2019. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jose Guzman; her 7 children; Joey, Alejandro, Gabriel, Lea Annette, Athena, Joshua, and Daniel; as well as 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Lea was the oldest of her siblings, which include 4 sisters; Sandra, Lisa, Veronica, and Margarita; and one brother, Robert. Lea grew up with two loving examples of a wife and mother - her mother, Margarita, and grandmother, Dolores Serrato. Together with her father, Robert, and grandfather, Joseph Serrato, Lea was surrounded by values that would impact her own life-long marriage and family. Lea spent her education in Catholic school beginning at Little Flower all the way through Sacred Heart High School. The school prom granted the opportunity for a close friend to offer up her brother as a date, which led her to the love her life, Joe. She truly embraced her “Mama Lea” role and was also team mom for multiple sports teams, PTA president, Band Booster president, and travel agent. She travelled the world with her husband but the greatest adventure was being “Grandma”. That allowed her limitless opportunities to provide hugs, kisses, and love. All the cherished memories together at family gatherings, vacations, parties and amusement parks (especially Disneyland!) will forever live on in each one of our hearts. Always remember the laughter and love Lea brought to your life and just keep swimming!
