My memories of brother Ruben are that he loved the Lord and His church and his family. From what I saw and remember; he served with humility and a great sense of humor that would make me laugh. When I became a believer I had loads of court ordered community service hours. I would spend a lot of those hours with Ruben maintaining the grounds of BCF. Lastly, the greatest impact he had on me was when he took it upon himself to spend time with me by taking me to an event where men, from different denominations, gathered for expository bible study and hymn worship. I think about all the lessons I learned from that day and other moments where he gently corrected my youthful, sometimes misguided zeal. My prayers and heart go out to the family because he will be missed. Im also glad for Ruben is now in glory face to face with the King of Glory that he served so faithfully all those years! What great rewards have met brother Ruben!

Dear Guerrero Family,

My thoughts are consumed with memories of fond times spent with Ruben during the twenty+ years I worked with him at Upland Elementary. He was more than someone who "worked with me." He was my buddy! He was my Brother in Christ! We both have two daughters and we talked about our families. He was so proud of his grandchild, Noah, who is just about the same age as my grandson.  Ruben loved talking about his family, his church, and his Lord. We have prayed together, and for one another. He was a special person and will be missed by so many! Even though my heart aches with the loss, my spirit rejoices for him and you because I truly believe he is with the Lord. Thank you Joann and family, for sharing this gentle, humble, humorous, and Godly man with us. I feel blessed to have known him. Dear Guerrero Family,
I am so sorry to hear that Ruben has passed away. I worked with him at Upland Elementary for 19 years, and he is one of the people that I so missed after my retirement. He always spoke so fondly of his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and church family.  I am praying for peace, comfort, and strength for all of you. I take comfort in knowing that he is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Dear Joann and family thank you for sharing your wonderful husband and father with me. Ruben was such a wonderful light to my husband and I. I had the privilege of working with him and there wasn't a day that I didn't hear that wonderful belly laugh of his. Once you heard his laugh, you never forgot it and it blessed me daily! He was a man that loved his wife, daughters, and his grandchildren but his first love without hesitation was Jesus Christ. I praise God that Ruben is in the loving arms of our Savior without the pain and concerns of this world. I am so thankful that I will see My "Ruby" again. My love to Joann and the rest of the family. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
