Betty Ann Austin

She was born April 5, 1931 to James and Nancy (Lewis) Campbell in Congerville, IL. She married George Austin. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by five sons Gary (Myrna) Backlund of Thornton, CO, Richard Backlund of Mauldin, SC, Charles (Pam) Law of Heyworth, IL, Carl (Mary) Austin of Bloomington, IL, Raymond (Alecia) Austin of Heyward, WI; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and six sisters.

Betty retired from the Eureka Company after 30 years of service. She loved her dogs, flowers, and her collection of birdhouses. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed baking all the goodies around Christmas time for her family. Above everything, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Friday January 10, 2020 from 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, funeral service to follow. Entombment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pastor Timothy James Ferrill will officiate.

The family would like to thank the employees of McLean County Nursing Home for the exceptional care given to Betty.
