Carol Louise Powell of Bloomington, IL died this Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 surrounded by family at her son’s home in Mackinaw, IL. Carol was born to Jewel and Netty McAtee on July 24th, 1946 in Bloomington. She was married to Stanley Harold Powell on September 7th, 1963. Carol was self-employed, spending most of her life as a seamstress.
Carol is survived by children Scott (Kelli), Greg, Steve and Bryant Powell, Timothy (Kathy Dennison) Powell of Mackinaw, IL, grandchildren, Jamie, Amber of Arizona, Josh, Mindy, Jesse, James, Jonathan, Tonya, Kristopher Powell-Dunkin, Ariana and Mara of Mackinaw, Bradley, Carl Claycomb Jr. and Eric of Mackinaw, Victoria Roberts, Tannah Roberts, great-grandsons Bradley Powell Jr., Isaiah Powell-Dunkin, and brother Mike McAtee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, daughter, Susan Anette Powell-Claycomb, and brothers Dean, Jerry, and David McAtee.
There will be a visitation held in her honor at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL, on Monday, Oct. 26 starting at 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral service will start at 12 pm, officiated by Pastor Grant. A graveside service will follow at 1pm.
