

Charles W. Riley, 84, of Normal, IL formally of Jacksonville, IL passed away at 3:09p.m. on January 20, 2011 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL.
He was born September 21, 1926 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Kenneth and Irene Wood Riley. Charles served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, where he received the Victory Medal. After returning home, he married Joyce Cox. She survives him.
Charles is also survived by two sons, James (Kimberly) Riley of Lexington and Timothy (Cathy) Riley of Marion, IL, five grandchildren; Krieghan and Kaelyn Riley, Tina O’Donnell, Michael and Corey Snyder, 3 Great Grandchildren and one sister, Sally Cobb of Houston, TX.
He enjoyed a long career for General Telephone as an Engineering Supervisor which later became Verizon from which he retired from in 1987. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 673 in Normal and was a past Grand Master serving from 1979 -1980. He was also a member of the Normal VFW post 635, and a member of The Crosspoint Church of God in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 24, 2011 at 10:00a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home In Bloomington. Visitation will take place the night prior from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m., also at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
