Charles was a cherished and devoted individual. He married the love of his life, Diane on Aug 31,1969, and together they built a life filled with love and commitment. Charles dedicated many years to carpentry work, a testament to his devotion and skill.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Diane Scherr, sons; Thomas (Stephanie) Scherr and Paul (Missi) Scherr, grandchildren; Allison and Parker, sister; Doris Reiners, and a host of family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother Melvin Scherr, and sister Betty Hostetter.
He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Memorials may be directed to his grandchildren's college fund, American Kidney Association, or American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held on January 23,2026 at 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Eastlawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Rd, Bloomington,Il.
