Danny Lee Shepherd Sr.

He married Barbara on January 30, 1961, they were together for 60 wonderful years. Barbara stayed by Danny's side until his passing. She joined him on December 19, 2020, where they now will be together forever.

He is survived his children Troy Back, Danny Jr (Cynthia) Shepherd, Cynthia (Richard) Gerencher and Brian Shepherd; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

He was born the son of Gardner M Shepherd and Lois (Jackson) Shepherd on September 4, 1943 in Walkerton, Indiana, they preceded him in death, as well as two brothers, one sister and one grandson.

He was employed by Modine, and Charles Melby, he also drove for Uber. He was the owner of Advanced Carpet Care.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, softball and bowling. He loved the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, also spending time with his family. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Monday December 28th, 2020 11:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington with a graveside service to immediately follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions this will be a walk-through visitation. Our chapel has implemented restrictions on how many guests are allowed in at one time. For this reason, we ask that no one sits in the chapel as it will take away from the number of guests we can allow in at a time to see the family.
