
David was born on April 3, 1938, to Winton and Jesse Ramsey and grew up in Brookfield, OH.
David attended the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degree in business administration. He married Lillian Terwilleger from Cininnati. He continued with his education, receiving his PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota and became an Economics Professor at the University of Missouri. David, Lillian and their three children relocated to Normal, Illinois where he became a professor for Illinois State University. David retired from Illinois State University as Chairman of the Economics department. David's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and visiting his family. He was an audiophile and had an impressive collection of vinyl records.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Judith Dawson Ramsey, his sister and her husband Ruth and Joe Vukovich, and his brother Richard Ramsey. His brother Donald Ramsey proceeded him in death. David is also survived by his three children, Thomas and his wife Shelly, Douglas, and his wife Kelli and daughter Laura Evans. Also left with wonderful memories are his three grandchildren, Cassidy, Austin, and Emili as well as his two great-grandchildren Cori and Rylen. David is also survived by his special sister-in-law Maryanne Terwilleger, who he helped take care of for most of his life.
