Dennis P. Carroll Sr., 70, of Bloomington passed away September 27, 2021. He was born June 23, 1951 to Joseph and Jeanne (Leetch) Carroll in Bloomington and married the love of his life, Patricia Bohannon on February 1, 1969.
Dennis is survived by: his loving wife of 52 years; children: Kristina Conder, Natashia Carroll, Sabrina (Sean) Henderson, Brittany (Sean) Baize; grandchildren: Kaitlin Altieri, Joseph (Marsha) Altieri, Chelsea Stewart-Carroll, Amber Fisher, Kelsey Harness, Krystin Henderson, Kourtnee Henderson, Brogan Conder, Taylor Allison, Kyleigh Henderson, Cassandra Stewart, Payton Allison, Reyln Duvendack, Avery Duvendack; bonus grandchildren: Britni Smith, Lily Promenschenkel; great-grandchildren: Leighton Denson, Hunter Baize, Peter “Robbie” Altieri, Finleigh Baize; siblings: Gary Carroll, Rick Carroll, Lannie (Tina) Carroll, Misty (Rod) Phillips, Christa (Shane) Carroll; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by: his parents; parents-in-law: Charles and Ruby Bohannon; children: Dennis Paul Carroll Jr., Sheilie Altieri; son-in-law: Darrin Conder; siblings: Betty Lee Higgs, Jolene New, Candy Funk; twin grandchildren: Ryder and Ryan Carroll; and nephew: Darrin McWhorter.
Dennis was a family man, who enjoyed fishing, listening to Elvis and Shania Twain, and doting on his grand and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at East Lawn Funeral Home from 10-12p with a service to follow. Military rites and entombment at East Lawn Memorial Gardens will follow the funeral service. A luncheon will be held after the service at Hike Haven in Forrest Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
