

Doris was born May 16, 1933 to Lloyd and Barbara Fry in Bloomington. She met Roy Hicks on a blind date and it was love at first sight, they were married on September 20, 1952 and celebrated 64 years of love this year.
She was a huge Chicago Cubs fan, and passed away during the final game of the World Series, she also enjoyed playing BINGO, playing cards, working with her flowers in her garden and going to Texas for the winter.
Survivors include her loving husband, Roy and their two daughters, Debbie Williams (John) and Becky Traeger (Dan); two sisters, Shirley Geiselman and Marceil Ahlers; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Barbara Kate and three brothers.
A private family funeral service will be held Monday November 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service at 11:30 Monday in the East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Doris was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
