Dorothy Maxine Kelley

She was born November 26, 1936 in Rockford to Harold Wayne and Ethel Harris. On November 26, 1965 she married Roger M. Kelley.

Dorothy graduated from Illinois Masonic Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She completed her post-graduate work at Cook County Hospital. She retired from Advocate BroMenn after over 40 years of nursing. After retirement she was a caregiver for many friends and family members. She was an avid Saint Louis Cardinals Fan and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, poker, fishing, camping, crosswords and reading.

Survivors include her children: David Kelley of Towanda, Kathleen (Dave) Hymbaugh of Hopedale, Jennifer (Fred Jr.) Albright of Bloomington and Karen (Mark) Oostman of Bloomington; grandchildren: Zach and Wesley Hymbaugh, Justin (Carrie) Albright, Lauren, Julia, Blake and Sophia Oostman; great-grandchildren: Carter and Liam Albright; father of her children: Roger M. Kelley of Bloomington; special niece: Jeanne (Bill) Poppins of Bloomington; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Harold Harris; sister: Ivy Coontz.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday September 17, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington. Memorial Service will take place at 7pm.
