Eleanor J Hall

Eleanor was born September 17, 1927 in Gilman, IL to Jullien and Mary Vorhees Elliott. She married Marion Hall of Saybrook, IL on June 22, 1952. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Richard and a daughter, Karen, both of Normal. Her parents and her three brothers, Howard, Ralph, and Ronald preceded her in death.

After receiving her degree in Education from Illinois State Normal University, Eleanor taught Home Economics for 10 years in various school districts, including Ellsworth and Saybrook. Eleanor also taught Elementary Math for 2 years in El Paso. She later worked for the Residence Hall Food Service at Illinois State University, beginning as a cook, with a period working as the personal chef for ISU President David Berlo, and rising to a Unit Manager position before her retirement in 1992.

Eleanor was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Normal.

Visitation will be Sunday December 14, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday December 15, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday December 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at East Lawn, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Henricks, with burial to follow immediately after at the Chapel Mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Normal.
