

F. Rosetta (Rosie) Summers, 91, of Bloomington, passed away at 4:50 a.m. on December 27, 2010 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
She was born April 27, 1919 in Jacksonville, IL daughter of Harry H. and Clara Eyles Summers.
Rosie was a dedicated nurse and Aunt to her many great nieces and nephews. She worked in Beardstown, IL before moving to Normal in 1961 to work for Brokaw Hospital. She later worked for doctors Dowd, Dowd and Dowd for many years before retiring in 1992. She loved cookies and chocolate and was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
She is survived by one niece; Pam Jacobs, one nephew; Michael (Kathy) Smith; Great Nephews and nieces, Brian (Margaret) Van Horn, Julie Van Horn, Eric (Amy) Van Horn, Christi Mariner, Jeff Van Horn, Michelle (Elmer) Hanson, Benjamin, Lia, Micah, Sharney, Bethany and Kimmy Smith. Also surviving are 10 great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Harry Summers and one sister Margaret Smith.
A Funeral service will take place at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Rev James E. Reents will be officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior at 9:00a.m. also at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
Rosie was loved by many especially her family and she will be deeply missed.
