Gail Roop Hinthorn

Gail Hinthorn, 53, of Arrowsmith, passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

She was born March 14, 1957 in Bloomington, daughter of David Graham and Linda Annette Dunlap Roop. She married Roger A. Hinthorn on February 13, 1976 in Downs, IL.

Surviving are her husband of Arrowsmith; her parents, David and Linda Roop of Downs; one daughter, Samantha (Adam Getty) Hinthorn of Bloomington; two sons, AJ (Suzie) Hinthorn of Bloomington and Clint (Kelly Adams) Hinthorn of Champaign and seven grandchildren, Kaeleigh, Cale, Addison & Lilly Gail Hinthorn and Sierra, Hunter & Bailey Adams. Also surviving are two brothers, Bruce (Ronda) Roop and Bret (Michelle) Roop, both of Downs; one sister, Jenny (Greg) Curtis of Downs and many nieces and nephews.

Gail is a 1975 graduate of TriValley High School and she worked for over 12 years as a bus driver for Saybrook, Arrowsmith and Ridgeview. Since 1996, she has worked as an office coordinator for the Regional Alternative School in Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
