

Jacqueline Haviland Schlosser, 88, formerly of Merna, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Normal.
She was born November 27, 1922 in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of James C. and Faye T. Calloway Haviland. She married Donald F. Schlosser on November 29, 1963 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary H. Ryberg.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie (Dan) Randall of Midland, MI, Sandy (Larry) Wills of Bloomington, Kathy (David) Wright of Washington, IL and Donna (David) Jones of Bloomington. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, David (Kerri) Randall, Douglas (Kelly) Randall, Danielle Randall, Rob (Lindsay) Wills, Shelby (Justin) Walters, Lynsey Wright, Jaclyn Wright, Tyler Wright, Kaitlyn Wright, Joshua Jones, Nicholas Jones and Austin Jones and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Carson and Morgan Randall.
Jacqueline was a 1939 graduate of UHigh. She started working for State Farm Insurance Company in Bloomington in 1941, and retired as Executive Secretary to the Vice President of the Fire and Casualty Company at State Farm in 1964.
She was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), a former secretary of the YWCA and a former member of the NSA (National Secretaries Association). Jacqueline was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomington, where she also had taught Sunday School for the junior high-aged children.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Interment will be at Friends Cemetery at Bentown.
