She was born June 17, 1930 in Bloomington to Clifford and Pearl (Brooks) Dawson. She married Roy E. Albrecht on July 15, 1948 in Bloomington.
Joan enjoyed crafting and was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Survivors include her daughters: Sallie Jo( Stewart) Price of Wilmington, NC, Libby Robinson of Bloomington, IL, Dianne (William) Platt of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Ryan (Debbie) Price of Wilmington, NC, Adam Platt of Houston, TX, Jon Platt of Tulsa, OK, Alex (Megan) Platt of Tulsa, Ok; great-grandchildren: Ashley and Kristen Price of Wilmington, NC; nephew: Peter Dawson of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a brother.
Memorial Service will be at 3pm on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, IL Visitation will be one hour prior to service. The Rev. Brian Deckinger will officiate.
