JoAnne Fortney

She was born September 23, 1928 in Marion, Indiana to Blair and Helen (Scott) Weicht. On June 2, 1948 she married Millard D. “Mid” Fortney.

JoAnne enjoyed Wednesday morning coffee with her church friends and attending her grandchildren’s activities. Above all her greatest joys in life were her husband, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Diana Morin of Normal, Michael D. (Hope) Fortney of Bloomington, and Patrick (Mary) Fortney of Normal; grandchildren: Michael M. Fortney, Emily Morin, Zachary Morin, Katie Fortney, and Allison Fortney; siblings: Marilyn Ford, Susie Weicht and Carole (Tom) Brown all of Indiana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Robert Weicht.

Visitation will be Sunday March 30, 2014 from 3pm to 5pm with a 4:30pm Rosary Service at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, IL. The Funeral Mass will be private. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
