

Joel was born on November 13, 1965, in Normal, Illinois, to Lois Hastings and Robert McClintock. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990, carrying that sense of dedication and strength throughout his life.
On October 13, 1995, Joel married the love of his life, Monica Janet McClintock. Together they built a family that was the center of his world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica; his children, Danielle Boyle, Nicholas McClintock (Megan), and Zachary McClintock; and his cherished grandchildren, Sierra, Hattie, Emily, and Phoebe, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Joel was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and had a deep passion for drag racing. Whether cheering on his team or spending time at the track, he embraced life with enthusiasm. Above all, Joel loved his family fiercely and wholeheartedly, a love that was evident in everything he did.
He is also survived by his siblings, Terry, Marcia, Lynda, Lori, and Jon, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Hastings and Robert McClintock; his stepfather, Harold Saunders; and his siblings, Jim and Lisa.
Arrangements are currently being coordinated with East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at OSF for their compassion, kindness, and dedicated care over the past six weeks.
Joel will be remembered for his strength, his passions, and most of all, the deep love he had for his family.
