

According to his wishes, cremation arrangements will be handled by East Lawn Funeral Home and a committal service will take place at East Lawn at a later date.
Mike was born October 31 1936 in Normal, the son of Ethel L. Moran and Harold A. Sinclair. He married Anna Mae Polo June 21, 1958 in Benson, IL. He was baptized n the Catholic faith.
Survivors include daughter, Constance Sinclair, Nashville, TN; grandchild Ashley (Michael) Sinclair Ruiz, Nashville, TN; great grandchildren Rocket Lily Ruiz and Milo Ranger Ruiz, Nashville, TN; sisters Judith Brewer, Normal, IL; and Sidney (Ed) Bruner, Bloomington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna; son Scott D. Sinclair; brother Ward Sinclair; sisters Audrey Bess and Marion Gail Willis; and his parents.
Mike was a graduate of Bloomington High School. He joined the Bloomington Fire Department in 1966. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1973 and captain in 1977. Mike was promoted to assistant fire chief in 1981 and was appointed fire marshall the same year. He was named Bloomington Fire Chief February 1, 1983. He faithfully and proudly served as Chief until his retirement July 6, 1992.
Mike was a Boy Scout troop leader for many years, served on the board of the American Red Cross and was supportive of many charitable organizations. He was a member of Bloomington Fire Fighters Local #49. Mike was a man of integrity and strong character - a life-long learner who "could fix anything." He enjoyed reading, woodworking, travel, photography, being in nature, and his family.
