

Her memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2010 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bloomington with the Pastor Jonathan Manor officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:30 prior to the service at the church. East Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born September 19, 1943, in Gothenburg, NE, a daughter of Tony and Bernice Rasmussen Gronewold. She married Carroll Kinnaman on December 28, 1973 in Gothenburg. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Bernice Gronewold of Gothenburg, NE; her son, Nathan
Kinnaman of Milwaukee, WI; her three sisters, Carol (Ron) Hudson of Shelton, NE, Karma (Michael) Ripp of Kearney, NE, Patricia (James) Harris of Gothenburg, NE, and her brother, Loren (Carol) Gronewold of Sedona, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Karen was an Elementary Teacher and her latest assignment was at Trinity Lutheran School in Bloomington. Karen was an accomplished singer and sang in many weddings, funerals, church choirs and theater productions. She enjoyed her Bridge groups, her Book Club, flower gardens, traveling and her kitties. Karen was a very giving person with a quick wit and so very well liked by all who met her and she will be missed dearly.
